Such is the richness of the Vedic dharma that there is another idea mentioned in purusha-sukta that “the man may not be a dream of God but instead God may be the dream of man”. It would be myopic to translate dharma as a religion in context of Vedic dharma as none of the belief, thought, or a book has been given a transcendental status which is the primary characteristic of any religion. There is no prophet or messenger of God either. The Vedic man is a humble, curious man standing between the earth and the universe wondering where he came from. In his search for truth, he is not denying any possibilities, opening up to all the conflicting ideas and searching dispassionately the eternal laws of the nature, he calls Dharma
